We are located in the rural community of Edgington, IL only a block away from our local Junior High and High School.

Thank you so much for your interest in Edgington Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Since September 1837, our congregation has endeavored to be a worshiping and missions-minded body of believers with a steadfast witness to historic Christian faith in the Reformed tradition. In the words of our Confession of Faith, we believe that our highest purpose is to "glorify God and enjoy Him forever." In light of this, there are several very central realities that make up the identity of our beloved church.

It's a joy to welcome you to the online home of Edgington EPC! As you learn about our church family, I hope that you'll appreciate the emphasis we have on the centrality of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, made known to us through the Word of God. Even with our long history of more than 180 years, we are as excited as ever about our mission and ministry here in our community. I'd love for you and your family to share in where the Lord is leading us as we continue in our desire to glorify God and enjoy Him forever! I hope to hear from you if you have any questions, or if we can serve you in any way; and perhaps even have the privilege to welcome you as we worship our God together.

Project Now Meal Site
Monday - Friday (with the exception of National Holidays & occasional unforeseen circumstances)
Meals are available for a suggested donation of $4 to anyone 60+ years or with a disability. Dine in or carry-out. Please come if you are eligible and able! Call 309-788-6335 for more info!

We are a host site for a foot clinic (formerly UnityPoint's Foot clinic) - pedicures done by medical professionals...

Third Thursdays of most months, 9am - Noon

Ice Cream Social
Sunday, August 9th
4-7pm
UPDATE: ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE ICE CREAM SOCIAL WILL BE DONATED TO THE HAWK FAMILY FOR DREW'S RECOVERY.
This is undoubtedly our most DELICIOUS event! Please come hungry! We will have MUCH more than ice cream - there will be several dinner and side options, as well as other dessert options. We hope you will join us!
High School Membership Class
Beginning on Sundays at 11:15am, starting August 23rd & 30th and then joining the Adult class on Sundays, Sept. 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th
New Member Reception on October 4th.
This class is offered to anyone seeking more information about Edgington EPC; what it means to be a church member, our denomination, what we stand for, and much more. If you have been attending for awhile, but not yet committed to membership, you’re encouraged to check this out! If you are looking to join, you definitely want to mark your calendar!
Men's Ministry: BBQ & Fall Discipleship Groups
Sunday, August 23rd, 5pm
We will kick off another season of men’s ministry with a Men’s BBQ on Sunday, August 23. Come enjoy plenty of good food, time with other men, and an introduction to our fall discipleship groups. Whether you participated last year or have never attended one of our men’s events, this is a great opportunity to get involved.
Promotion Sunday

We will recognize our children during the service and present bibles to our children graduating Kindergarten and heading into first grade. Please plan to be here to encourage them in their faith journeys.
Fishing Derby

Please bring lawn chairs, a dish to pass, and a fishing pole if you have one. This annual event kicks off our new Fall Sunday School Progam each year and is a great time of fun, fellowship, and fishing. We hope you will join us!
Men's Discipleship - Fall Bible Study
Wednesdays at 6:30pm, Beginning September 2nd and running for 9 weeks
The Gospel-Centered Life by Robert H. Thune & Will Walker
These groups are intended for men at every stage of the Christian life. You do not need to be a Bible expert, and you do not need to have participated in a previous group. Simply come ready to learn, grow, and encourage other men as we follow Christ together.

Women's Fall Bible Study
Tuesdays at 10am & Wednesdays at 6:30pm, Beginning September 15 & 16th, 7 week study
Ephesians, A Study of Faith and Practice, by Jackie Hill Perry, Jasmine Holmes, ad Melissa Kruger
In this 7-session study, Bible teachers, authors, and friends Jackie Hill Perry, Jasmine Holmes, and Melissa Kruger walk through the book of Ephesians, examining the invaluable truths Paul’s letter holds for us today. Along the way, they’ll help us understand the riches of our inheritance as daughters of our heavenly Father, as well as what it means to walk in a manner worthy of our calling.
Ultimate Frisbee
Sunday, September 20th at 3pm
Rockridge Practice Field
Start stretching and put on your cleats (or just grab a lawn chair to cheer from the sidelines)! The youth have challenged the young(ish) members again this year!
Winter Coat Drive
ACCEPTING DONATIONS OF NEW & GENTLY USED COATS, HATS, SCARVES, & GLOVES
Distribution date will coincide with the Fall Food Pantry Distribution (Date TBD)
If you would like to donate winter gear, please contact the church office to make sure someone is available to accept your donation. If you know someone with a need, again, please contact the church office.

We encourage you to watch our Facebook Live streams. If you would like to join our Facebook Group Page, please search for Edgington Evangelical Presbyterian Church. When you find it, request to join. We usually respond very quickly to requests.
